KTA and CUW Renew Collaboration to Empower Wisconsin Educators

FRANKFORT, ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES, October 1, 2024 – The K-12 Teachers Alliance (KTA), a nationwide organization dedicated to sharing proven solutions for educators, proudly announces the renewal of its partnership with Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW). This renewed collaboration is designed to directly address the critical teacher shortage in Wisconsin by connecting educators with high-quality, convenient, and truly affordable graduate programs.

After nearly a decade, KTA and CUW are excited to rekindle this successful alliance, which has a proven history of significantly supporting educators in the region, leveraging CUW’s educational expertise and KTA’s commitment to providing an invaluable, free service to K-12 teachers and administrators.

We are excited to work together to positively impact Wisconsin’s educational community. We highly support the vision and dedication of CUW’s leadership in addressing the needs of teachers,” said Bruce Ranney, President of K-12 Teachers Alliance. “Their commitment to providing accessible and affordable education for teachers is commendable.”

The Power of the Alliance Cohort Delivers Real Savings

KTA believes educators deserve more. By aggregating educators into Alliance Cohorts based on shared credential needs, KTA works to identify the highest-quality program for the most competitive price. This collaboration highlights CUW’s dedication to supporting the professional growth of educators in all stages of their careers, with programs tailored to the needs of working, busy teachers.

CUW’s master’s, doctorate, and graduate certification programs feature:

  • Flexible and Convenient Education: They offer flexible scheduling, small class sizes, and accelerated terms to fit the busy lifestyle of a working educator.
  • Programs Designed for Relevance: These programs are selected to support professional development and are designed to equip educators with current and effective instructional strategies.
  • Affordability First: KTA’s collective action helps make advanced degrees more economically viable by securing special tuition discounts and scholarships exclusively for educators.

KTA works with institutions like CUW by utilizing its comprehensive Needs Analysis Process to connect teachers with tailored, high-quality, and cost-effective graduate programs. This partnership ensures that teachers receive the tools and knowledge they need to flourish in their roles and advance their careers.

Dedicated Support for Educator Success

KTA’s commitment to educators goes beyond connecting them with programs; the organization provides a level of support that is unique. Through KTA’s Graduate Programs for Educators, teachers get easy and direct access to CUW, ensuring a supportive and seamless graduate education process. KTA helps guide students through the complete application process and adheres strictly to all university admissions policies and procedures.

Having worked with numerous institutions across various states for nearly 20 years, we recognize when an institution, like CUW, significantly aids its K-12 community,” said Joe Mroz, Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives & University Relations at K-12 Teachers Alliance. “We look forward to our continued work with CUW in offering its esteemed programs to educators throughout Wisconsin.”

This collaboration is expected to substantially enhance professional development and higher education opportunities for Wisconsin teachers.
