Evaluating Universities

Evaluating Universities and Colleges in Your State

We have spent years auditing the best universities for each graduate education program in every state.

We do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to. Our team dives deep into the details, compiling essential data and conducting thorough reviews of both the university and its specific programs, pricing and formats. Only those that meet our rigorous standards earn the “KTA Approved!” seal of excellence.

Beyond evaluating universities, programs, and formats, we leverage our “secret sauce”: the power of the cohort. By gathering groups of educators seeking the same degree, we negotiate exclusive, heavy discounts that universities don’t typically advertise, making high-quality graduate education more accessible than ever.

KTA audits each university’s program to understand the following:

  • Admissions criteria and expectations
  • Transfer credits accepted
  • Total credit hours – some schools have more credit hours
  • Completion time for each program
  • State certification and endorsements available for each
  • Degree requirements
  • What programs does the university offer that meet the needs of the teachers in the state

How does the university compare on the following criteria:

  • State and National accreditations
  • Teacher specific accreditations
  • Enrollment by program compared to other state providers
  • Customer ratings and feedback from area teachers
  • Percentage of students that graduate
  • State standardized tests scores of graduates

We review each universities price to determine three things:

  • Stated rates they charge everyone
  • Discounts available to teaches in the state
  • Special KTA pricing for groups of 20 or more

  1. We identify a group of teachers looking for a particular program and the price they are willing to pay.
  2. When we get 20 teachers interested in a program, we contact the universities to find the most competitive tuition rate with the best provider for that program.
  3. One we have confirmation the group is a “Go” you reserve your seat, which is just an application and tuition deposit.
  4. Seats will be limited in each cohort group, by the university to maintain quality, so complete the seat reservation process as soon as possible.
