Building the Foundation for Educator Success
The K-12 Teachers Alliance (KTA) is your strategic partner, dedicated to helping your district achieve its workforce development and retention goals. We specialize in efficiently sourcing and securing high-value graduate programs and certifications that directly align with your district’s specific job requirements and professional growth objectives.
To provide this essential, free service to educators across the state, KTA must first understand your district’s needs through our comprehensive Needs Analysis Process. We request your collaboration with the following four steps:
1. Needs Analysis: Input from District Leadership

Input from school district leaders is vital for KTA to determine which programs are most needed. This crucial information can be gathered efficiently through email, a phone call, or a simple web form. The analysis covers key areas, including, but not limited to:
- Programs required to address teacher shortages within the district.
- Specific subject areas where job openings exist.
- Program formats (e.g., online, hybrid) most desired by district teachers.
- University and program providers preferred by district staff.
2. Principal Engagement

KTA seeks to connect with district principals via email to gauge their teachers’ needs directly. This step often provides supplemental detail and supporting evidence to validate the initial district needs analysis.
3. Teacher-Specific Communication and Meetings

The clearest understanding of teacher needs is best obtained through district-approved notifications to individual schools, followed by supportive email communication. KTA strictly adheres to all district rules and regulations when contacting schools or distributing information. These virtual meetings focus on:
- Identifying the specific programs and formats desired by district teachers.
- Helping teachers understand the process and benefits of Alliance Cohorts.
- Sharing detailed application and admissions steps.
4. Alliance-Approved University Selection

KTA conducts an exhaustive review of top university providers in the state, considering factors like enrollment, program quality, graduation rates, certification exam success rates, and their willingness to meet the unique needs of our teachers.
Following the teacher meetings, we will have formed groups interested in specific programs. KTA then contacts the best providers for each program type in the state, working to identify the highest-quality program for the most competitive price on behalf of the Alliance Cohort.
KTA is poised to deliver this free, high-value service that directly tackles your educator development and staffing needs. By collaborating with us on the Needs Analysis Process, you provide the crucial data foundation necessary to unlock tailored, high-quality, and cost-effective graduate programs for your teachers.
