K-12 Teachers

As a K-12 educator, it’s hard to put into words how much you give back to your students, every single day, and for so long the system hasn’t taken into account the enormous financial burden that continuing to pursue professional development creates for you. Colleges and universities continue to hike tuition prices for the programs you need, showing little to no awareness of your financial realities. It’s often impossible to find the best programs, gauge their true quality, and then, if you do, the price tag is simply out of reach.

When you join a group of other teachers or administrators who are looking for similar courses, you create a strong force that can demand universities offer their programs at a fair and competitive price. KTA has a proven history of working with colleges and universities across the country to help insure they keep their tuition costs under control and competitive, while still delivering the highest quality curriculum. Price doesn’t have to be at the cost of quality with an Alliance approved university. Program availably, formats and completion times are equally important as those universities not willing to be flexible will have a hard time staying relevant with today’s teachers.

Tired of spending hours trying to determine the best programs in the state? Leave the research to us. KTA will eliminate the uncertainty and confusion around choosing an advanced degree program. The programs that KTA approves are selected to support your professional development, not simply to increase a university’s enrollment numbers. We explore all program providers across the state and review their accreditations, graduation rates, state test scores and most importantly, their popularity among other teachers in the state.

KTA connects you with advanced degrees, such as master’s, doctoral, certifications and administrative licensure, that are both affordable, relevant and of the highest quality. This enables you to take the next step, the most important step, in your career:

Classroom Ready Relevance:
The programs approved by KTA are designed to equip you with the most current and effective instructional strategies and best practices in pedagogy that you can implement immediately to positively affect your students on the very first day.

KTA looks for accessible graduate degree programs that meet the needs of the working educator and offers various formats to fit your busy schedule:

Flexible Format Options:
KTA facilitates graduate degree programs that are offered completely online, hybrid/blended, and/or through a local off-campus cohort model. Many programs also include flexible schedules, small class size and accelerated terms.

Accelerated Options:
Some master’s and certification programs, such as Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Technology, are structured to be completed within a year while maintaining their quality. Whie most of our students now prefer online programs, we still work with many program that are hybrid/blended, and/or through a local off-campus cohort model.

This is where the power of your collective action really shines. KTA can request special tuition discounts and scholarships exclusively for educators, which helps to make advanced degrees more economically viable. KTA has successfully worked with institutions to develop scholarship opportunities for students who are looking for certain degrees and/or work in a specific district.

You are not alone in your academic journey. KTA provides a level of support that is unique to the student services provided at many other organizations:

Dedicated Student Services:
Each student enrolled in a program sponsored by KTA will be assigned a dedicated Student Service Representative to assist you throughout the entire process from the initial night of class through graduation.

One-On-One Help:
In addition to guiding you through the logistics associated with attending college as a working educator, KTA will assist you in troubleshooting technical problems that may arise and assist you in balancing the responsibilities of work, school and family.

Effortless Enrollment:
KTA uses digital communication tools, including interactive Zoom webinars, to connect with potential applicants, assess your needs and expedite the pre-qualifying and enrollment processes.

Your career as an educator has been dedicated to helping others learn, so now, allow the K-12 Teachers Alliance to help you make a smart investment in your own future at a price that won’t break the bank.

KTA will work with you to acquire quality education and the personal support you require to achieve success. Contact KTA to explore the Alliance Cohorts, find the program you need, and get the price you deserve.
